Our Terms of Business
- Let Period: The fishing let shall commence at 9:00 AM and conclude at 5:00 PM on the dates specified per the invoice. Start and end times may be adjusted subject to the agreement of the Ghillie.
- Fishing Method: Only fly fishing is permitted. All tenants must adhere to the Spey Fishery Board’s recommendations regarding the return of fish to promote sustainable fishing practices.
- Rod Limitation: No more than four (4) rods (anglers) are permitted to fish concurrently.
- Safety Requirements: All fishers are required to wear buoyancy aids while fishing. Buoyancy aids are available in the fishing hut for those who do not have their own.
- Ghillie’s Authority: The Ghillie’s decision on all matters related to the fishing let will be final. This includes decisions on adherence to fishing methods, safety practices, and any disputes that may arise.
- Non-refundable Payments: Both the deposit and the final payment are non-refundable. Renters are strongly recommended to take out insurance to cover circumstances that prevent them from utilising their booked fishing dates.
- Payment Terms: A 50% deposit is required within 10 days of issuing the invoice. The remaining balance (50%) must be paid at least 60 days prior to the scheduled fishing dates. These terms ensure financial commitments are met in a timely manner.
- Cancellation and Insurance: Given the non-refundable nature of payments, we strongly advise that you secure travel or event insurance that covers cancellation. This insurance can provide reimbursement for your expenses in the event that you are unable to attend your booked fishing dates due to unforeseen circumstances. We will look to relet the fishing should you be unable to attend your dates.
- Liability: Renters and their guests participate in fishing activities at their own risk. The let provider is not liable for any accidents, losses, or damages incurred during the let period, except where such liability is mandated by law.
- Compliance: By accepting these terms and conditions and proceeding with the booking, the renter agrees to abide by all the conditions outlined herein. Failure to adhere to these terms may result in the termination of the let without refund.
